Business Analyst

• Contract: 12-month initial term with up to 2X 12-month extension options
• Location: ACT (onsite) limited remote arrangements may be considered case-by-case)
• Security Clearance: Baseline clearance
• Key Skills: Business analysis, Agile delivery, stakeholder engagement, process modelling, user stories, emerging technologies (AI exposure desirable)

Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to contribute to the delivery of impactful ICT initiatives within a high-performing government environment. You will play a key role in shaping business solutions across a range of projects, including those involving emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, helping to improve services and outcomes at a national level.

Your duties will include:

• Facilitating workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions to gather and validate business requirements
• Analysing and modelling current and future business processes, data flows, and user journeys
• Developing high-quality documentation including business requirements, user stories, and process maps
• Collaborating with technical teams to translate business needs into functional and non-functional specifications
• Conducting research and analysis to support solution design aligned with policy and regulatory frameworks
• Evaluating solution options and contributing to strategic decision-making across complex ICT projects

Skills and experience we are looking for:

• Proven experience delivering business analysis artefacts in Agile environments for complex ICT projects
• Strong capability in developing user stories and defining acceptance criteria for technical teams
• Demonstrated experience facilitating workshops and producing process maps, data models, and use cases
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
• Experience in ICT service implementation and documenting requirements for enterprise technologies
• Familiarity with tools and platforms such as Azure DevOps, Dynamics 365, or Power Platform (desirable)
