THE ROLE

You'll be a core member of the infrastructure team, owning the provisioning, deployment, and reliability of our cyber range environments. That means working closely with international partners and customers to turn requirements into live, operational systems - and making our platform more capable and resilient with every iteration.

One week you might be in Brussels deploying a NATO exercise environment. The next, you're back in Tallinn refining Ansible playbooks and contributing to platform improvements. The work spans both the field and the workshop.

What you'll do

• Take the lead in preparing and supporting cyber range deliveries
• Deploy and adapt training and exercise content to meet customer requirements
• Use Ansible and other automation tools to build and provision cyber range infrastructure
• Contribute to the development and improvement of CybExer's cyber range platform
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Collaborate with international partners and customers to support deliveries and gather requirements
• Travel internationally a few times a year (typically 1–2 week trips) for initial deployments and live events
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and platform issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We care about depth over breadth. Strong candidates will have solid fundamentals in most of these areas - you don't need to check every box.

• Solid administration-level knowledge of Windows and Linux
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language - Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Hands-on experience with at least one infrastructure automation tool (e.g., Ansible or Terraform)
• Experience with Docker - managing, troubleshooting, and modifying containers and compose files
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs
• Experience with VMware vSphere or a comparable virtualization platform
• Strong written and verbal communication in Estonian and English
• Able to work independently and drive problems to resolution
• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT Systems Administration, or a related field - or equivalent experience

Nice to have

• AWS or other major cloud platform experience
• Hands-on experience with datacenter infrastructure, including rack-mounted servers, network devices, and storage arrays
• Comfort representing the team in customer-facing technical discussions
