Title: Cyber Security Lead

Location: North Dublin

Type: Permanent / onsite 2 days a week

This role is responsible for leading and enhancing the organisation’s cyber security posture to protect critical systems, data, and customer information. The Cyber Security Lead ensures that security controls are effective, compliant with regulatory requirements, and continuously evolving to address emerging threats. The position acts as a technical subject matter expert (SME), providing leadership, governance, and assurance across cyber security operations while supporting business and IT teams in maintaining a resilient and secure environment.

YOU MUST BE COMING FROM A HANDS ON SENIOR BACKGROUND FOR THIS ROLE

ENTERPRISE CLASS ORGANSATIONAL EXP IS KEY

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the design and development of security frameworks and solutions
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g. NIS2 or equivalent)
• Continuously improve security policies, standards, and procedures
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans across infrastructure
• Identify, assess, and manage security risks through to remediation
• Provide governance and assurance over cyber security controls
• Support audits and regulatory compliance activities
• Act as a cyber security SME across infrastructure, cloud, and applications
• Provide technical oversight and security guidance to IT and business teams
• Support secure design and delivery of new and existing IT projects
• Stay current with global cyber security trends and emerging threats
• Security Operations & Incident Response
• Support and act as escalation point for security incidents
• Provide forensic insight and technical analysis when required
• Ensure security tools and technologies are properly configured and maintained

Essential:

• 5–7+ years’ experience in cyber security, including leadership responsibilities
• Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related discipline
• Strong expertise across multiple domains such as:
• Security infrastructure
• Cloud security
• Identity & Access Management
• Web and application security
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Professional certifications (e.g. CISSP, CCSP, SANS or equivalent)
• Postgraduate qualification in cyber security or related field
