Role Summary

• Acts as a second-line information security advisor
• Supports first-line teams in identifying, managing, and improving information security
• Provides expert guidance while responsibility for controls remains with the business
• Works closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on information security risks, controls, and compliance
• Conduct and review risk analyses and security assessments
• Review and assess:
• Architecture and solution designs
• Change requests
• Security and technical documentation
• Monitor and test security measures and controls
• Support handling of security incidents and ad hoc security queries
• Provide knowledge sharing and guidance across teams
• Influence decisions through expertise (no formal authority)

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven experience in information security / information assurance
• Experience working in complex or regulated environments
• Strong analytical, risk-based, and advisory skills
• Ability to assess both technical and non-technical documentation
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in advisory or governance-focused security roles
• Exposure to security architecture reviews and governance processes
• Proactive, solution-oriented, and eager to learn
• Comfortable working with diverse stakeholders
