Data Team Lead

As Data Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for the technical direction, delivery, and people leadership of our data engineering function. You will lead a team of 5+ data engineers and analysts, while remaining hands-on in designing, building, and evolving our modern data stack.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data engineers and analysts (5+), fostering a culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement
• Define and own the data engineering roadmap, architecture, and best practices
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and models on Google Cloud Platform
• Be hands-on with development using Python, SQL, and dbt, setting a strong technical example for the team
• Ensure high standards for data quality, testing, documentation, and observability
• Collaborate closely with analytics, product, and business teams to translate requirements into robust data solutions
• Drive improvements in performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency of the data platform
• Support hiring and onboarding as the team continues to grow

Technical Environment:

• Cloud: Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and related services)
• Transformation & Modeling: dbt
• Languages: Python, SQL
• Analytics & Reporting: Close collaboration with analysts and BI tools
