Network Engineer

Key Responsibility

• Support and maintain mission-specific network infrastructure and security controls to ensure availability, performance and operational continuity
• Monitor LAN, WAN and related communication systems to identify, troubleshoot and resolve network and security issues
• Assist with cyber investigations, network assessments and security incident support through technical analysis and traffic visibility
• Collaborate with NOC and development teams to implement tools, automation and operational improvements
• Review network architecture, procedures and documentation to enhance efficiency, resilience, supportability and security posture
• Provide Tier 2 technical support while ensuring compliance with change management and operational standards

Key Skills Required

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience
• Hands-on knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS/IDP, WAF, VPN and Secure Web Gateway technologies
• Experience in WAN/LAN network management, routing/switching, micro-segmentation, data communications, TCP/IP, network monitoring, diagnostics and administration of network security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS/IDP, VPN, and WAF.
• Proven knowledge of WAN/LAN, TCP/IP, routing/switching, data communication systems and micro-segmentation
• Working knowledge of network monitoring tools and IT ticketing systems
• Good understanding of network and system architectures, including HLD and LLD
• Familiarity with NDR, NAC and network traffic analysis concepts
• Awareness of SIEM integration, log correlation and network security event visibility
