Role: DevOps Engineer

Location: Toronto(Onsite)

Exp: 6+yrs


Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to build, test, and deploy code efficiently, optimized for high-performance workloads and large-scale builds.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Pulumi to enable consistent and repeatable deployments.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system stability, performance, and proactive issue resolution.
  • Embed security controls within CI/CD pipelines, including automated vulnerability scans, compliance checks, and security gates to prevent insecure code from reaching production.
  • Manage and optimize infrastructure across hybrid environments, including bare-metal servers and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Build systems that maintain detailed audit trails of infrastructure and application changes, ensuring traceability and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Configure and manage software-defined networking (SDN) to ensure low latency, prioritized bandwidth, and minimal jitter for critical system communications.
  • Design and implement high-availability architectures, including multi-region and multi-cloud disaster recovery strategies to achieve up to 99.9999% uptime.


Required Skills:

  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a highly regulated environment (e.g., banking, financial services, healthcare)
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (or equivalent)
  • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or DevSecOps certification
  • Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
  • CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions
  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Pulumi
  • Cloud Platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform
  • Version Control: GitHub, Bitbucket
  • Scripting & Automation: Python, Bash, Go, or Ruby
  • Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Oracle
  • Experience with mainframe integration or legacy middleware
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in dynamic environments


Nice to Have:

  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
  • Financial domain knowledge (e.g., ISO 20022, SWIFT, Fedwire, Lynx)
  • Experience with cost optimization tools such as CloudHealth or KubeCost
  • Knowledge of eBPF for observability or DPDK for high-speed packet processing
  • Experience with FPGA or GPU-based computing clusters
  • Understanding of ultra-low latency systems and minimizing latency spikes in distributed architectures
