2 Month Remote Contract Position

About the Role

Full Blast Creative is seeking an experienced WordPress Web Developer to support a 2 month contract with a potential to transition to a full-time role. The contractor fee allocatd for this role is $1850 USD per month, for a 2 month term. This role focuses on building, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress websites for our diverse client portfolio. You’ll work closely with our design and account management teams to deliver high-quality web solutions that drive results for our clients. Spoken and written English is needed for this role.

Scope of Work

Technical Development & Implementation

• Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins aligned with client specifications and brand guidelines
• Build responsive, mobile-first websites that ensure optimal user experience across all devices
• Implement e-commerce solutions using WooCommerce and other platforms
• Create and maintain custom post types, taxonomies, and advanced custom fields
• Integrate third-party APIs and services into WordPress environments
• Ensure proper implementation of SEO best practices and site structure

Site Maintenance & Optimization

• Perform regular WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates
• Optimize website performance, including page speed, caching, and database optimization
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and compatibility problems
• Implement security best practices and maintain site backups
• Monitor site uptime and resolve hosting-related issues
• Conduct regular site audits to identify improvement opportunities

Analytics & Tracking Implementation

• Set up and configure Google Tag Manager, GA4, and other analytics platforms
• Implement conversion tracking, event tracking, and custom goals
• Install and configure marketing pixels (Meta, LinkedIn, Google Ads, etc.)
• Ensure proper UTM parameter tracking and campaign attribution
• Create and maintain tracking documentation

Collaboration & Project Management

• Work with designers to translate mockups and wireframes into functional websites
• Collaborate with paid media specialists to ensure proper tracking and conversion optimization
• Coordinate with account managers to understand client requirements and timelines
• Provide technical consultation on web development best practices and feasibility
• Communicate project status, timelines, and potential roadblocks effectively

Quality Assurance & Testing

• Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing
• Perform accessibility audits and implement WCAG compliance standards
• Test forms, integrations, and interactive elements before launch
• Document site functionality and provide client training materials
• Create staging environments for testing and client review

Continuous Learning & Innovation

• Stay current on WordPress updates, trends, and best practices
• Research and recommend new tools, plugins, and technologies
• Test emerging web development frameworks and methodologies
• Maintain relevant certifications and professional development
