Data Scientist

Michael Bailey Associates is looking for a Data Scientist for one of our clients in Zurich

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize machine learning models to address credit risk and fraud prevention challenges
• Deliver in-depth reports, analyses, and modeling to support and guide the decision-making of various business units
• Collaborate in interdisciplinary teams, sharing your expertise and analytical insights to drive innovative solutions
• Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of in-house analytics tools and assist in the expansion of the technological infrastructure

Qualifications and Skills

• A completed university degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, etc)
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong conceptual mindset
• Advanced proficiency in Python and its associated libraries, such as Numpy, Pandas, as well as machine learning frameworks like Scikit-learn and PyTorch
• In-depth understanding of database management systems and SQL
• Practical experience in areas such as payment systems, credit risk modeling, and fraud prevention will be considered a plus
• Experience in software development practices, particularly with Git and CI/CD processes, is advantageous
• Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with various departments and stakeholders
• Fluency in both German and English is required, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively in both languages
