Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Senior Network & Security Engineer (L2) to manage, support, and optimize enterprise network and security infrastructure. The role involves advanced troubleshooting, implementation, and operational support across network and security domains, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in network protocols, firewalls, cloud networking, and monitoring tools, along with the ability to support complex environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Network Operations & Support (L2)

• Provide Level 2 support for network and security incidents
• Troubleshoot and resolve network performance, connectivity, and security issues
• Support LAN/WAN, data center, and cloud network environments

2. Network Security Management

• Configure and manage:
• Next Generation Firewalls (FortiGate, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA)
• Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS)
• Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
• Implement and enforce network security policies and controls

3. Network Design & Implementation

• Assist in designing and implementing enterprise network architectures
• Configure routing and switching protocols:
• TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS
• Manage VLANs, VPNs, and network segmentation

4. Cloud Networking

• Support networking in cloud environments:
• Microsoft Azure (Virtual Networks, NSGs, NVAs)
• Oracle Cloud / Google Cloud
• Implement and manage hybrid connectivity solutions

5. Load Balancing & Traffic Management

• Configure and manage F5 BIG-IP (LTM, ASM, APM)
• Handle load balancing, application delivery, and traffic routing
• Support VPN solutions and secure remote access

6. Monitoring & Performance Optimization

• Use monitoring tools such as:
• Cisco Prime
• SNMP / NetFlow
• Wireshark
• Analyze network traffic and optimize performance

7. Identity & Access Control

• Implement and support:
• Network Access Control (Cisco ISE)
• Multi-Factor Authentication (RSA MFA)
• Enforce secure access policies

8. Troubleshooting & Incident Management

• Perform root cause analysis for network and security incidents
• Collaborate with L3 teams for complex escalations
• Ensure timely resolution within SLA

9. Emerging Technologies

• Support Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and network virtualization
• Stay updated with latest networking and security trends

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in network and security engineering
• Strong expertise in:
• Network protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, DNS)
• VLANs, VPNs, network segmentation
• Firewalls (FortiGate, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA)
• Experience with:
• F5 BIG-IP (LTM, ASM, APM)
• NAC (Cisco ISE)
• Monitoring tools (SNMP, NetFlow, Wireshark)
• Hands-on experience with cloud networking (Azure preferred)
