UX/UI Designer | £35,000 - £55,000
We're working with a global leader in maritime surveillance and MDA technology on this exciting opportunity. They are the driving force behind the next generation of security and environmental protection systems used by coast guards and vessel owners worldwide.
This is a chance to take high-level ownership of complex digital products across web and mobile platforms. You will be fundamental in scaling their design language using Figma and atomic design principles to solve real-world maritime challenges.
The Role

This is a chance to take high-level ownership of complex digital products across web and mobile platforms. You will be fundamental in scaling their design language using Figma and atomic design principles to solve real-world maritime challenges.
The Role
- Lead the end-to-end design process from initial research and wireframing to high-fidelity UI delivery for desktop, web, and mobile apps.
- Evolve and maintain a sophisticated, component-based design system using Figma to ensure consistency across the product suite.
- Rapidly prototype and test complex MDA (Maritime Domain Awareness) features to validate user workflows and interface usability.
- Collaborate directly with Product and Engineering teams in an Agile environment to ensure seamless developer handoff and implementation.
- Apply UX thinking to simplify complex technical data into intuitive, mission-critical dashboards and surveillance interfaces.
- Expert-level proficiency with Figma is essential, including experience with design systems and atomic design principles.
- A strong online portfolio demonstrating end-to-end case studies and high-quality visual design execution.
- Professional experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and Illustrator, for asset creation.
- Proven ability to translate complex user requirements into clean, functional interfaces for both mobile and web platforms.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions and advocate for the user to stakeholders.
- Competitive salary range of £35k - £55k based on experience.
