User Experience (UX) Designer

Join our Design Innovation & User Experience (DI & UX) Team to craft next-generation digital solutions that will redefine defence and security operations while enhancing service accessibility for servicemen. Be part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team committed to creating intuitive and innovative systems. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with both UX Architects (UXAs) and UX Designers (UXDs) to deliver exceptional user experiences. UXAs will focus on design strategy, vision, and direction, while UXDs will drive end-to-end UI feature design. Together, these roles will ensure seamless design execution, consistency, and innovation.

We are seeking a UX Designer to craft intuitive, visually appealing, and user-centred designs. In this role, you will collaborate with UX Architects, developers and other stakeholders to bring designs to life. You will conduct tactical research to inform design decisions, and deliver seamless user experiences from concept to development handover. Additionally, you will also ensure adherence to our design standards, guidelines, and design system.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct Tactical Research

  • Conduct user research to inform design decisions.
  • Gather feedback through usability testing, surveys, and interviews.
  • Analyse user data to identify design opportunities.

End-to-End UI Design

  • Design intuitive and visually appealing UI features from concept to delivery.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets product goals.

Design Handover & Development Collaboration

  • Take ownership of designs from conceptualisation to development handover.
  • Develop and maintain design documentation.
  • Ensure design solutions meet user needs and business objectives.

UI Consistency & Adherence to Design Standards

  • Ensure consistency across UI components and features.
  • Adhere to design systems, standards, and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with UX Architect to develop, maintain and improve design systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in User Experience Design, Visual Communications, Graphic Design, Product Design, Industrial Design or a related field.
  • Proficient in applying visual design principles to UI/UX design.
  • Skilled in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Axure, Photoshop, Illustrator and similar platforms.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing user-centric processes and an excellent visual design sense.
  • Ability to collaborate in an agile development environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated, with a proactive attitude and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Candidates with relevant working experience may be considered for a Senior UX Designer position.
