Cloud Database Engineer (OCI Specialist) - Muscat, Oman

The Mission

You will design, deploy, and optimize complex database solutions exclusively on OCI, ensuring high availability and rock-solid security. This is a heavy-hitting technical role focused on zero-downtime migrations and performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect & Manage: Handle both SQL (Oracle, MySQL, Postgre) and NoSQL environments on OCI.
• Migration Master: Plan and execute complex migrations (On-prem to OCI, Cloud-to-Cloud) using GoldenGate, Data Pump, RMAN, and RackWare.
• Automate: Streamline deployments and maintenance using Python, Bash, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Optimize: Perform deep-dive performance tuning and ensure robust Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies.

What You Bring

• OCI Expertise: Proven hands-on experience specifically within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• Migration Toolkit: Deep knowledge of schema conversion, ETL, and validation.
• Tech Stack: Proficiency in SQL Server, MongoDB/Cassandra, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Mindset: A bachelor’s degree in CS/IT and a detail-oriented, problem-solving approach.

Bonus Points For:

• OCI Database Certifications.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Background in large-scale enterprise migrations.
