The Role

We’re recruiting experienced DevOps / Site Reliability Engineers to support a high-profile programme within the defence and national security sector.

This role focuses on delivering and supporting secure, highly available platforms in a sensitive environment. You’ll work on critical infrastructure, applying modern DevOps and SRE practices to ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing and supporting Kubernetes-based platforms (e.g. OpenShift, EKS, AKS)
• Building and maintaining secure CI/CD pipelines
• Implementing Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Ansible, Terraform)
• Managing and supporting Linux environments (Bash/Zsh)
• Monitoring systems using Prometheus, Grafana, and observability tools
• Supporting incident response, alerting, and system performance
• Collaborating within Agile / DevSecOps teams

Key Skills & Experience

• Background as a DevOps Engineer / SRE / Platform Engineer
• Strong experience with Kubernetes & containerisation
• Solid knowledge of Git (GitLab/Bitbucket)
• Experience with virtualisation platforms (e.g. VMware/OpenShift)
• Hands-on with monitoring & observability tooling
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code
• Previous work in secure or regulated environments

Nice to Have

• Exposure to AWS or cloud platforms
• GitLab administration experience
• PostgreSQL knowledge
