Network Engineer
You've spent five-plus years in network engineering. But where you are, the network is treated as plumbing, keep the lights on, don't break anything, nobody notices until something fails.
This is a network role at a large European tech company serving millions of daily users. The infrastructure is hybrid: Juniper routers, switches, and firewalls across private data centres running IP Fabric, plus cloud networking. You'd own routing (BGP, OSPF), switching, firewall config, and incident response across production.
The team treats networking as engineering, not ops. You'd build infrastructure as code with Terraform and Ansible, and work with platform engineers on container networking and scaling.
There's a 24/7 on-call rotation that works because the systems are well-built, not because you're firefighting every weekend.
You'll need:
- 5+ years in network/infrastructure engineering
- Hands-on Juniper (routers, switches, firewalls)
- BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP in production
- IP Fabric or modern data centre architecture
- Terraform or Ansible
