Salary: €100-110,000 + Benefits

Rate: 500per day

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior / Lead .NET Developer to take a key technical leadership role in the design, development, and evolution of modern, distributed software systems. This position is ideal for someone who not only writes excellent code but also shapes architecture, mentors engineers, and drives best practices across teams.

You will work on high-impact, cloud-native platforms built on .NET Core, with a strong emphasis on distributed systems, microservices architecture, and message-driven design.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance applications using .NET Core (C#)
• Define and evolve system architecture with a focus on microservices and distributed systems
• Drive best practices in software design, architecture, and engineering standards
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to development teams
• Contribute to architectural decisions, solution design, and technical strategy
• Ensure systems are resilient, observable, and maintainable in production environments
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions
• Participate in code reviews, technical design sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide long-term solutions

Required Experience & Skills

• Third level Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience
• 6+ years commercial experience in .NET / C#
• Deep expertise with .NET Core (C#) and modern backend development
• Strong experience designing and working with message-based distributed systems
• Proven experience building or working within microservices architectures
• Excellent understanding of software design principles and architectural patterns
• Experience applying industry best practices for application architecture and coding standards
• Ability to contribute to innovative technical solutions and architectural direction
• Comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to lead by example
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
