• 4-6+ years of QA experience, with a strong focus on automation for mobile applications
• Proven hands-on experience with Appium and WebdriverIO (TypeScript preferred)
• Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks for iOS and Android apps
• Strong understanding of automation strategy, test design, and CI/CD integration
• Solid experience in API testing and automation (REST, JSON validation)
• Good working knowledge of manual and exploratory testing (as a complementary skill)
• Familiarity with TestRail (or similar) and defect tracking tools like Jira
• Strong attention to detail with a user-first mindset

Automation Ownership (Primary Focus)

• Design, develop, and own scalable automation frameworks for mobile applications using Appium and WebdriverIO (TypeScript preferred)
• Build and maintain robust automated test suites covering core user journeys, regression, and integration flows
• Drive an automation-first approach, ensuring most of the test coverage is delivered through automation
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable feedback
• Continuously improve automation stability, execution speed, and maintainability
• Identify and prioritise high-impact areas for automation across the product

Mobile App Testing (iOS & Android)

• Ensure high-quality releases across iOS and Android platforms through automated validation of end-to-end flows
• Validate consistency across devices, OS versions, and screen sizes
• Focus on critical passenger journeys such as booking, navigation, and notifications

API & Integration Testing

• Validate backend APIs supporting the mobile app (status codes, payloads, error handling)
• Automate key API flows to support end-to-end test coverage
• Ensure data consistency between frontend and backend systems

Test Design & Quality Engineering

• Translate product requirements into automated test scenarios aligned with acceptance criteria
• Ensure traceability between requirements, automated tests, and defects
• Contribute to shift-left testing by engaging early in story refinement and technical discussions

Manual & Exploratory Testing (Supporting Role)

• Perform targeted exploratory testing to complement automated coverage
• Validate new features, UX flows, and edge cases not easily covered through automation
• Support rapid validation during sprint cycles and pre-release phases

Defect Management & Root Cause Analysis

• Log clear, reproducible defects with strong evidence
• Perform root cause analysis to identify systemic issues and improve test coverage
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to prevent defect recurrence

Quality Reporting & Agile Collaboration

• Provide visibility on automation coverage, execution results, and quality risks
• Work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams in an Agile setup
• Support sprint ceremonies, release readiness, and continuous improvement
