Network Security Engineer

For our client, an important banking institution, we are looking for a Network Security Engineer.

Main Responsibilities:

• Designing, implementing and managing data communication networks, ensuring optimal performance reliability and security;
• Implementing and managing network security solutions such as firewalls, WAF, IPS, NAC and VPN to protect data and infrastructure;
• Collaborating with IT infrastructure and development teams to deliver network and infrastructure projects efficiently, ensuring alignment with sprint goals, timelines and security standards;
• Supporting IT or business sponsored projects to ensure they meet networking and security requirements;
• Communicating complex network concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders;
• Maintaining detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures, ensuring they are up to date;
• Acting as 2nd level support for troubleshooting network security related end-user issues and resolving them in a timely manner.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Technical University degree;
• 5+ years work experience;
• Hands-on installation, configuration, troubleshooting experience on any of Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto firewalls, including VPN, IPS and remote access;
• Hands-on installation, configuration experience with NAC setup;
• Experience with administration of enterprise level load balancers;
• Proficient in both verbal and written English;
• Enthusiastic and willing to learn, with a can-do attitude and a strong work ethic;
• Good communicator, able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences;
• Appreciates change controls and has the ability to follow defined procedures;
• Forward-thinking and keen to make suggestions on ways to drive forward the organization's security services;
• Flexible and adaptable, able to provide solutions to security challenges in a changing environment;
• Good time management and organizational skills.
