Human Resources Coordinator

Adecco is currently seeking a temporary full-time HR Coordinator to join a client site in Mississauga within a fast-paced logistics and supply chain environment. In this role, you will support a range of human resources functions and day-to-day HR activities, ensuring smooth workforce operations across the site.

Pay Rate: $28-$35/hr depending on experience

Location: On site

Schedule: Monday–Friday | Between 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Job Type: Temporary (2 months with possibility of extension)

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders that includes employees and management

• Timely response to management and employee inquiries in a professional manner

• Responsible for full cycle of recruitment and selection process that includes posting hiring ads, screening resumes, interviewing, arranging background checks

• Prepare offer letters and organize new hire documentation

• Create new hire’s HR/payroll accounts on HRIS

• Administration of the new hire orientation program, including content, preparation of documents, presentation

• Assist with the performance evaluation process

• Provide support for the benefits management

• Maintain accurate employee data on HRIS

• Prepare and distribute company communications (memos, announcements)

• Assist with employee disciplinary process, terminations and conduct exit interviews

• Assist with employee relations, investigations and resolution of complaints

• Responsible for bi-weekly and monthly payroll, reconciling and processing

• Prepare various month end reporting

• Administer workers compensation injury and payroll reporting

• Assist with training other team members

• Administer reconciliations and reimbursements for trainee’s expense with headquarters in Japan

• Provide assistance and support to Japanese executives and trainees

• Assist with immigration and visa support

• Communication and ad-hoc reporting to head quarters

• Various other tasks that may be required

QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES

• 2-3 years of experience in a similar role,

• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and employment standards and the ability to enforce laws, rules and regulations

• Strong experience with MS Word, Excel, Power point, and payroll programs

• Basic math and accounting skills

• Effective communication, organization and time management skills

• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks

• Ability to remain objective in stressful situations

• High level of sound and independent judgment, reasoning and discretion

• Professional, responsible, and positive work attitude.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality

• Japanese language is an asset

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

• College or university degree with a focus in human resource management, or a combination of experience and education

• CHRP designation is an asset.
