Analytics and Data Science Team Lead

We are looking for an Analytics and Data Science Team Lead to join our Data team and play a key role in impacting business growth through data-driven insights.

This role will be a balanced mix of 50% hands-on and 50% leading a team of 3.

You'll have a direct impact on shaping the company's success by collaborating with key leaders across the organization, supporting, challenging, and guiding various business stakeholders in data-driven decisions that have a direct impact on growth and strategy.

This position can be based in Estonia or Finland, and we are open to relocation to Estonia for the right candidate.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Supporting Starship’s data analytics needs across all functional domains, including insights, decision support, metrics, and reporting
• Collaborating with functional domain leads to ensure the most impactful data opportunities are addressed
• Looking after the well-being, productivity, and professional growth of your direct reports
• Defining ways of working and maintaining standards and quality in the data analytics and data science domains
• Planning for and hiring into the team to ensure the long-term success of the team

• Proven experience working as a data analyst or data scientist, including strong SQL skills
• Business acumen with the ability to influence outcomes
• Experience leading teams and managing people
• Strong track record of collaborating with business leaders to drive data-driven decisions
• Excellent communication skills in both oral and written English
• Strong prioritization, stakeholder, and stress management skills
