About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Functional Analyst to join a dynamic environment within a major enterprise setting in Brussels. In this role, you will act as a key bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams, translating business needs into functional solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

During the Preparation Phase

• Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and clients to shape solution strategies
• Propose alternative solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and cost/benefit considerations
• Ensure adherence to architectural, security, and enterprise standards
• Work closely with architects and project stakeholders
• Coordinate communication between business, IT teams, and asset teams

During the Elaboration Phase

• Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications
• Define application design and assess impact across system components
• Align responsibilities across involved IT assets and technical teams

During the Construction Phase

• Oversee development and testing to ensure alignment with specifications
• Support integration and testing activities (I&AT)
• Analyze and resolve defects during testing phases
• Assist with release and deployment activities

Post-Production

• Provide support to operational teams and helpdesks
• Analyze and coordinate resolution of production incidents
• Maintain and update documentation

Note: Work is conducted in an Agile environment, with responsibilities distributed across sprints.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Functional Analyst

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of IT systems and functional analysis
• Experience with enterprise-level architecture and integration
• Experience in mobile (iOS/Android) is a plus

Business & Methodology

• Knowledge of banking and technical domains
• Familiarity with structured analysis methodologies
• Practical experience with Agile/Scrum is preferred

Languages

• Fluent in English
• Good knowledge of French and/or Dutch
