Crypto Venture Analyst

Zero2Launch is a blockchain startup launchpad. We help early-stage Web3 projects go from idea to live token — providing the strategy, infrastructure, and capital partners they need to launch successfully. Every project we back with our name goes through a real investment process. This role is a core part of that process.

We are looking for a Crypto Venture Analyst to run deep diligence on the projects our Deal Flow Curator brings into the pipeline. Where the Curator decides what's worth a closer look, you decide whether a closer look holds up under scrutiny.

You'll build the financial models, size the markets, benchmark the competition, pick apart the tokenomics, and translate all of it into clear investment memos that our committee can actually act on. This is analytical work with real consequences — every memo you write feeds a decision on whether Zero2Launch puts its name on a project.

• Run end-to-end diligence on projects advanced by the Deal Flow Curator: market, team, product, tokenomics, traction, competition, and risk.
• Build financial models and token economic models — valuation, emission schedules, vesting, unlock cliffs, treasury runway, unit economics.
• Size markets and map competitive landscapes with real rigor — not templated "TAM/SAM/SOM" slides, but genuine understanding of where a project can win and where it can't.
• Write structured, opinionated investment memos for the investment committee. Clear thesis, clear risks, clear recommendation.
• Benchmark projects against comparable launches — what worked, what didn't, and what the data tells us about this category.
• Track the performance of projects we've launched and projects we passed on; close the loop so we learn from every decision.
• Build and maintain internal data assets: comparables databases, sector trackers, tokenomics benchmarks.
• Partner with the Crypto Deal Flow Curator on pipeline review, and with the Smart Contract Risk Hunter and Head of Finance & Digital Assets on technical and treasury-level diligence.

Must have

• 2–4 years of professional experience in venture capital, investment banking, equity research, strategy consulting, or a crypto-native analytical role.
• Strong financial modeling skills — you can build a model from scratch, not just edit someone else's template.
• Genuine understanding of crypto and Web3: tokenomics, fundraising structures, market dynamics. This cannot be learned on the job; you need to already be fluent.
• Analytical rigor. You form conclusions from evidence, not from vibes or narratives.
• Excellent written English. Memos are your deliverable — they must be sharp, structured, and persuasive without overselling.
• Based in Germany with the right to work there.

Personal qualities that matter to us

• Intellectually honest. You're willing to write "we should pass" on a project leadership is excited about, and defend that view with data.
• Detail-oriented without losing the big picture. A good memo connects the spreadsheet to the thesis.
• Discretion and integrity. You'll see confidential financials, caps tables, and founder materials; we need to trust you absolutely.
• Long-term mindset: you're looking for a role you can grow into, not a stepping stone.

Nice to have

• CFA Level I or higher, or a strong quantitative academic background.
• Prior experience at a crypto VC, launchpad, token fund, or Web3-focused research firm.
• Familiarity with on-chain analytics tools (Dune, Nansen, Token Terminal, Artemis, DeFiLlama).
• Experience analyzing tokenomics at depth — supply schedules, incentive design, protocol revenue, MEV, and adversarial dynamics.
• Published writing: investment notes, research reports, Substack, or similar.

• Above-market base salary — approximately 20% above industry benchmarks for this level. No variable compensation; we believe in paying well and predictably.
• Fully remote role, based in Germany, with flexibility on working hours (some overlap with European business hours required).
• Direct exposure to the full deal process — from first look to investment decision to post-launch performance.
• Partnership with a strong Curator, a technical Risk Hunter, and a senior Head of Finance. You won't be doing diligence alone.
