Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled L2 Network Engineer to support, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure. The candidate should have hands-on experience in network operations, incident handling, and physical network deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 2 support for network-related incidents and service requests
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to LAN, WAN, VLAN, and VPN
• Perform rack and stack of network devices (routers, switches, firewalls)
• Handle cabling activities (Cat5, Cat6) including installation and testing
• Perform break-fix support for network hardware and connectivity issues
• Support decommissioning/decomposing of network devices and infrastructure
• Work on Major Incident Management (MIM) and ensure timely resolution
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, and firewalls
• Monitor network performance and ensure high availability
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues
• Coordinate with L3 teams and vendors for complex issues
• Ensure adherence to SLAs and proper documentation

Technical Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, DNS, DHCP
• Hands-on experience with routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP)
• Experience in switching technologies (STP, VLANs, trunking)
• Hands-on experience in rack & stack and structured cabling (Cat5, Cat6)
• Experience in break-fix troubleshooting for network hardware
• Knowledge of device decommissioning/decomposing processes
• Familiarity with firewalls and VPN technologies
• Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.)
• Experience with Cisco / Juniper / Arista devices
• Basic understanding of network security concepts
• Experience in Major Incident Management (MIM)

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with wireless technologies and tools like Ekahau
• Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Scripting knowledge (Python, Shell) is a plus
• Certifications like CCNA / CCNP preferred
