Barden are delighted to be supporting our client, a well-established construction and property development business in their search for an experienced HR Generalist on maternity leave on an initial 12-month fixed-term basis.
This is a great opportunity for a mid-level HR professional who is ready to step into a role with real breadth. You'll have strong support from a senior director and close access to the wider leadership team - so while you will be the day-to-day HR person on the ground, you won't be without backup. It's the kind of role where you can take off or equally develop your confidence across the full generalist remit, in a business that values its people.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Supporting managers with employee relations matters including absence, conduct, and grievance
- First point of contact for people-related queries across all departments
- Providing practical, clear HR advice to the leadership team
- Maintaining HR documentation, processes, and records
- Payroll-related administration support as required
ABOUT THE PERSON
- Around 5 years' HR generalist experience, with some employee relations exposure
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
- Experience in an SME or similarly down-to-earth, commercial setting
- Discreet, professional, and easy to approach
- A good communicator who builds trust naturally across different teams
