🧠 Build Models That Actually Make an Impact

We’re growing our Data Science team in Lisbon and looking for a Data Scientist who can go beyond experimentation — someone who can own problems end-to-end and deliver real business impact through machine learning.

You’ll work in a collaborative, international team (UK + Lisbon), partnering closely with business stakeholders to build models that directly influence decision-making.

🔍 What You’ll Be Doing

• Translate business problems into machine learning solutions
• Build, test, and optimise models (e.g. XGBoost, Random Forest, Neural Networks)
• Own the end-to-end ML lifecycle: data → modelling → deployment → monitoring
• Work with engineers to deploy models into production
• Perform feature engineering, experimentation, and model evaluation
• Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Drive data-driven decisions across the business

👉 This is not a research-only role — your models will be used in production and drive real outcomes

🧰 What We’re Looking For

✅ Must-have:

• Strong Python (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn)
• Experience building machine learning models for real-world problems
• Solid understanding of:
• Model evaluation (F1, AUC, etc.)
• Overfitting / validation techniques
• Feature engineering
• Experience working across the full ML lifecycle
• Ability to explain complex work to non-technical stakeholders

👍 Nice to have:

• Experience with GCP / AWS / Azure
• Exposure to MLOps / production deployment
• Experience in regulated industries (insurance, finance, etc.)
• Exposure to LLMs / NLP / deep learning
