Network/Cyber Security Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Operational Security Engineer with deep, hands-on expertise to strengthen our cybersecurity operations. This role is critical in ensuring the security, stability, and resilience of live IT environments across the organization.

You will work closely with infrastructure, network, and application teams to detect, prevent, and respond to security threats in real time, ensuring seamless and secure day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents across IT systems and networks
• Manage and optimize Security Operations (SOC) processes and tools
• Implement and maintain security controls across infrastructure (on-prem & cloud)
• Lead incident response and root cause analysis
• Conduct vulnerability management and coordinate remediation efforts
• Strengthen identity & access management (IAM) and endpoint security
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure secure system design and operations
• Continuously improve detection capabilities, playbooks, and response procedures
• Support audits and compliance requirements where necessary

Required Profile:

✔️ Experience

• 8–12+ years in cybersecurity, with strong focus on operational security engineering
• Proven hands-on experience in:
• Security monitoring & incident response
• SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar)
• Endpoint & network security
• Vulnerability management
• Experience working in complex, enterprise environments

🛠️ Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of:
• Network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs)
• Cloud security (Azure, AWS, or similar)
• Identity & Access Management (IAM)
• Familiarity with:
• SOC operations and threat intelligence
• Automation and scripting (Python, PowerShell) is a plus

• German: Professional proficiency (B2/C1 minimum) – essential for daily collaboration
• English: Good working proficiency
