DevOps Engineer

Stelfox is supporting one of our key clients to hire a DevOps engineer to join their software engineering function to help build and optimise their infrastructure-as-code on AWS, ensuring reliability, scalability, and efficiency across their systems. You will support the Senior DevOps Engineer in the team to assist with the setup and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, monitoring system performance, and automating deployments.

You will get the chance to work with a modern tech stack and receive mentorship to deepen your knowledge of AWS, containerisation, orchestration, and infrastructure automation.

The successful candidate will have the following experience:

• A third level degree or equivalent in Computer science, IT or similar
• Proficiency working with at least one software programming language (Python/Typescript/Javascript/Go)
• Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.
• Experience in Cloud infrastructure (AWS) using tools such as Cloudwatch, EC2/ECS, RDS
• Exposure to Bash/Shell Scripting
• Experience with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins/Teamcity/CircleCI), Infrastructure as code (Terraform/Pulumi), Containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes/ECS)
• Understanding of database technologies is preferred.
