What To Expect

JLR is seeking a skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join our Software Development Centre of Excellence in Shannon. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in transforming how we develop and deliver software as we accelerate toward full electrification.

As a DevSecOps Engineer, you’ll work within a high-performing team to design, build, and maintain a critical DevSecOps environment. You’ll support the development and scaling of JLR’s Enterprise Software Factory (ESF) platform, all while gaining valuable experience and unique insight into the automotive industry.

This role is ideal for someone with a security-first mindset and a passion for automation, observability, and DevSecOps practices. You’ll collaborate with engineers and technical experts globally to implement best practices, optimize workflows, and enhance platform offerings.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Support ECU development teams in implementing standardized, secure software delivery automation using DevSecOps practices.
  • Drive efficiency through automation and champion observability and monitoring for system reliability.
  • Work closely with DevSecOps and development engineers to foster a secure, agile, and collaborative environment.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum activities, including sprint planning, daily scrums, and retrospectives.
  • Advocate for and apply DevSecOps principles, such as IaC, TDD, CI/CD, and blue-green deployments.

What You’ll Need

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Some knowledge of containerized applications and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with at least one public cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
