The role

At the Architecture and Concept department, we define and lead the overall architecture and concepts for the central computer that hosts software-driven functions and features in our next-generation vehicles. Our clients upcoming models are built on a centralized computing architecture, featuring a core system that serves as a platform for stakeholders and partners to deploy applications. This approach replaces the traditional setup of multiple electronic control units distributed throughout the car, which previously managed individual features and systems. The multi-node architecture incorporates high-performance, high-integrity systems-on-chip (SoC), delivering a safe and secure framework for both current and future vehicles.


Responsibilities

•You will join as a System & Regulatory Engineer and work within a cross-functional team alongside Systems, Concept, and Safety Engineers.

•The team is responsible for driving improvements and enabling solutions related to product structure, Concept drivers, regulatory compliance, safety expertise, and governance.

•Your primary responsibility will be to improve enabling tools and methods around the product, structure the requirements model, and manage regulatory requirements.

•Since regulatory requirements are part of the scope, the role involves collaboration and knowledge across technical areas such as execution environment, communication, networking, software updates, logging, calibration, vehicle timing, diagnostics, safety, cybersecurity, and more. •This position requires strong collaboration within the team, across other teams in the Core System Platform, and with various parts of R&D.


Requirements

•We believe that you are a highly skilled Systems Engineer with several years of experience in designing and structure various different types of systems and solutions.

•You are a genuine problem solver with a positive and solution-oriented mind-set.

•You are known to be a team player; you are curious, structured and have a great ability to learn.

• Good knowledge of systems engineering including embedded SW/HW

• Extensive knowledge and experience in requirements engineering, including working with requirement structures from system, software (SW), and hardware (HW) perspectives, as well as risk management.

• Strong understanding of legal requirements, including how they apply across different markets, interpretation of legal texts, and experience with regulatory authorities.

• Good knowledge of system safety engineering practices, safety standards, and product safety.

• M.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent

• Very good in English, both written and spoken
