HR Coordinator – BU Marine Solutions

Alfa Laval
Sweden · Full-time · Associate

Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers, and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water, and shipping.

As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.

About The Job

You will join BU Marine Solutions at a pivotal moment, following the merger of core activities from two business units to strengthen market position and unlock synergies. In this context, HR is building more aligned and effective ways of working across a global setup—and this role plays a key part in making that happen.

As HR Coordinator, you will ensure strong execution of core HR processes while also contributing to global HR projects and initiatives. You will work closely with and report directly to the Head of HR, BU Marine Solutions, acting as a reliable partner in translating business needs into structured HR actions.

This role offers a mix of operational responsibility and project involvement in a global, matrixed environment, with exposure to both local and global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and coordinate HR processes in line with established guidelines, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
  • Maintain and manage employee data in Workday with a high level of precision and confidentiality
  • Support and drive selected HR projects aligned with the global People agenda
  • Analyze people data to support decision-making and identify trends or improvement areas
  • Act as a key HR contact for leaders in Flemingsberg, supporting day-to-day needs
  • Contribute to local HR initiatives and represent BU Marine Solutions on-site
  • Proactively follow up on actions, ensuring progress without the need for close supervision

This role includes approximately 30 days of travel per year.

Who are you

You are not someone who waits for instructions. You take ownership, spot gaps, and move things forward before being asked. You are structured and detail-oriented, but you don’t get stuck in perfection—you can operate in ambiguity and still deliver.

You build trust quickly and are comfortable working with senior stakeholders. At the same time, you stay grounded in execution and take pride in getting the basics right. You are resilient, adaptable, and motivated by being part of something that is still evolving.

What You Know

We are seeking a candidate that brings a solid foundation in HR combined with the ability to coordinate and drive initiatives across a global setup. Ideally, you have:

  • Experience coordinating HR projects or initiatives across countries or regions
  • Strong project coordination skills (planning, execution, follow-up, reporting)
  • Good understanding of core HR processes (e.g. talent management, performance, engagement)
  • Ability to work in a global matrix organization across cultures and time zones
  • Strong communication skills in English and Swedish (written and verbal)
  • Experience working with HR systems (preferably Workday) and handling people data
  • High level of digital proficiency (data analysis, presentations, reporting)
  • Proven ability to work independently and ensure progress without close supervision
