Network Operations Center Engineer

About the Role

Primary Responsibility is to Support Telecoms incidents globally and provide expertise in resolution.

Responsibilities

• Have good working knowledge of Telecoms infrastructure and associated components.
• Working as part of a global NOC team.
• Monitor our infrastructure.
• Raising vendor tickets and facilitate the recovery without impacting service.
• Work with Incident managers and other teams provide required inputs regarding Data Centre incidents.
• Work within global diverse team of engineers and vendors to provide support on a follow the Sun basis.
• Willingness to work shifts and weekends.
• Recovery of IT systems and support services in accordance with agreed business IT service levels in conjunction with technical support teams and in line with incident management processes.
• Drive down infrastructure service outages and repeat failures.
• Ensure global standards are set and adhered to.
• Work with Service Providers ensuring they meet their contractual commitments and work with them on Continuous Improvement.

Qualifications

Good understanding of Data Networks Topologies and protocols.
