We’re supporting a growing Oslo-based technology company that is scaling its platform and investing heavily in cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevOps capabilities. They operate a modern, cloud-first environment and are focused on building robust, scalable systems with strong observability and cost efficiency.

The Role

They’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to take ownership of their Azure-based development environment and play a key role in improving infrastructure, deployment processes, and system reliability.

You’ll work closely with development teams to streamline workflows, enhance monitoring, and ensure the platform is scalable, secure, and cost-effective.

Tech Stack

• Microsoft Azure
• Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
• Docker and Kubernetes
• Linux (VMs and servers)
• Datadog (monitoring and observability)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the Azure development environment
• Support and optimise Linux-based servers and virtual machines
• Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform
• Own monitoring and observability through Datadog
• Drive cost management and optimisation across Azure and Datadog
• Work with containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve CI/CD and deployment processes

What They’re Looking For

• Experience in a DevOps, Platform, or Cloud Engineering role
• Strong knowledge of Azure
• Hands-on experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools
• Solid Linux experience
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Understanding of monitoring and observability tools

Nice to Have

• Experience with NixOS (used internally for build pipelines)
