Job Title: Data Analyst
Location: Lakeshore, ON
Work Model: Hybrid (3 Days Onsite)
Contract: 8 Months (possible extension)
Pay Rate: $40-70/hr (As per experience)
Role Overview
We are looking for a Data Analyst who is passionate about using data to improve digital product performance and customer experiences. In this role, you will analyze product usage and customer behavior, support experimentation, and deliver actionable insights that help shape product and business decisions in a fast‑paced, agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze Product Performance: Deep‑dive into product usage data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement across digital platforms.
- Customer Insights: Conduct detailed analysis of customer behavior, including retention, churn, and customer journey analytics, to understand engagement patterns and pain points.
- Data Extraction & Analysis: Use SQL and Python extensively to extract, clean, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources.
- Reporting & Visualization: Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and self‑serve analytics using Tableau, Looker, or Power BI to track key product metrics and communicate insights clearly.
- Experimentation Support: Support A/B testing and experimentation by analyzing results, assessing statistical significance, and recommending next steps.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, Engineering teams, and business stakeholders to define KPIs and answer critical business questions.
- Actionable Recommendations: Translate complex data findings into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations that influence product enhancements and strategic initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related discipline.
- 4+ years of experience as a Product Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role, with strong exposure to product, retail, or eCommerce data.
- Expert‑level SQL skills for complex querying and analysis.
- Strong Python skills for data manipulation, analysis, and automation (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy).
- Proven experience with product analytics, including customer retention, churn analysis, and customer journey analysis.
- Hands‑on experience building dashboards and reports using Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
- Familiarity with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel) is a plus.
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts and their application in experimentation and A/B testing.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain insights to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Experience working in an agile product development environment.
- Retail or eCommerce experience is highly desirable.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a strong desire to continuously improve analytical approaches and tools.
