Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IT Security Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and improving the security posture of our systems and infrastructure. You will work closely with various teams to detect threats, manage vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with industry security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor security alerts and events to identify and respond to potential incidents promptly.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and penetration tests to identify security gaps.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to implement effective security controls and remediation plans.
- Analyze security incidents and perform root cause investigations.
- Maintain and update security policies, procedures, and documentation in accordance with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 standards.
- Assist with incident response planning and execution.
- Stay updated on emerging security threats, trends, and technologies.
- Support internal and external security audits and compliance activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in IT security or cybersecurity roles.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards, especially SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, or similar.
- Experience with vulnerability assessment tools and incident response processes.
- Familiarity with endpoint security technologies and cloud security best practices.
- Understanding of network security concepts including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and encryption technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of working collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are a plus.
