Senior/Lead Backend Engineer (Core Platform)

CoinGate is a Lithuanian fintech company founded in 2014. We specialize in building innovative payment solutions making it easy and convenient for businesses to pay and get paid in cryptocurrencies and stablecoins. With a decade of experience, we've established ourselves as the leading cryptocurrency payment gateway for businesses in the world, and we're just getting started.

As a Senior/Lead Engineer, you will be part of our senior engineering team, working on the highest impact and priority projects as we transition to become a full-fledged financial institution.

The role:

• You’ll primarily be responsible for designing and developing the in-house core platform encompassing CoinGate’s financial operations: blockchain infrastructure, banking and trading services, money movement automation across crypto and fiat, financial controls, safeguarding and reconciliation
• You’ll work closely with product owners, other engineers and our CTO

About you:

• 7+ years of backend development experience, with at least 3 years at the senior level role
• Experience working with blockchain development and ability to navigate different networks and protocols: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and Layer-2 solutions
• Experience coding in Go, or willingness to learn
• Experience with PostgreSQL & MySQL and NATS/Kafka/RabbitMQ
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization
• Strong plus: prior experience building financial systems

Salary:

6000– 10000€/monthly gross depending on skills and experience.
