Band 6 CT Rotational Radiographer
Location: Slough CDC (Upton Park) and cross-site working
Contract: Permanent
We are excited to be expanding our CT services and are seeking experienced, highly skilled Radiographers to join our friendly, forward-thinking Radiology team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a dynamic and supportive department working across multiple sites, including Wexham Park Hospital, Heatherwood Elective Centre, and the newly opening Slough CDC at Upton Park.
This role is ideal for an ambitious Radiographer with a passion for CT imaging and a desire to further develop both clinical expertise and leadership skills. You will play a key role within the team, contributing to service development while enhancing your own career progression in a progressive and innovative environment.
As a rotational post, you will gain exposure to a wide variety of clinical cases and working environments across our sites. The role involves a flexible shift pattern, including nights, weekends, and extended days, supporting a high-quality, patient-focused service.

Main duties of the job
- The post holder will be an experienced Radiographer working autonomously, being accountable for your own professional actions.
- You will supervise, mentor and appraise less experienced CT Radiographers, apprentice radiographers and students.
- A senior radiographer post working in the CT Departments across Wexham Park and Heatherwood Hospitals, and Slough Community Diagnostic Centre (opened March 2026)
- Responsible for supporting the CT Lead Radiographer.
- To assist in the training and supervising of the radiographers and RDAs across the 6 CT scanners.
- To ensure equipment is used in a safe and correct manner.
- The post holder will be expected to work at all sites. Commitment to shift work over a 7-day period.
- To provide a high quality and efficient radiographic service in CT.
- To maintain the high standards of the department by contributing to individual and team objectives.
- To participate in the departmental out of hours shift system.
- To supervise undergraduate student and Apprentice radiographers and support delivery of the training programme and assessment.
- The post holder will be expected to work at all sites across FHFT North Radiology: Wexham Park Hospital (Slough), Heatherwood Elective Centre (Ascot), St Mark’s (Maidenhead), King Edward VII Hospital (Windsor) and the newly opened Slough CDC at Upton Hospital.
- Commitment to shift work over a 7-day period.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Diploma of the College of Radiographers or Degree equivalent
- HCPC Registration
- D.C.R. ® ,or B.Sc. Radiography or equivalent.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
- SOR Accredited I.V. Cannulation Certificate
Essential criteria
- Cross sectional CT experience
- Wide ranging general radiography experience
- Experience of post qualification working in CT.
- PACS and EPR Experience.
- MRI experience
- Experience of working in the NHS.
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of Health and Safety issues.
- Willingness to work flexibly.
- Friendly, caring and approachable manner to patients and staff.
- IT literate and ability to navigate several interlinked digital and IT systems.
