Product Manager – Regulated Lending Launch
6 Month Fixed Term Contract
London / Milton Keynes Hybrid 2-3 days onsite
Perm FTC - £75,000 - £95,000
Day rate - £500 outside IR35
Wedo is working with a growing UK lender at a key point in its journey as it launches its first regulated lending product into market. They now need a Product Manager on a 6 month contract and need someone to start immediately.
The foundations are in place. Investment has been made. Internal teams are engaged. Key technology partners are already mid-build.
Now they need someone strong enough to take ownership of delivery, bring structure to complexity, and help get a commercially important product live.
If you enjoy stepping into meaningful programmes, making sense of moving parts, and turning plans into outcomes, this will be worth your attention.
Why This Role Exists
The business has built strong momentum in specialist lending and is now entering a new phase of growth through regulated consumer lending.
This launch matters. It creates a new revenue stream, broadens market reach, and marks a strategic evolution of the company’s proposition.
A lot of the early thinking has been completed. Scope has been defined. Build is underway.
What’s needed now is someone who can sit in the middle of Product, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Technology and third-party vendors to make sure the right thing gets delivered in the right way.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Own the Launch Programme
You’ll take day-to-day ownership of the MVP delivery through to pilot and launch.
That means driving timelines, priorities, decisions, blockers and stakeholder alignment.
Translate Business Needs into Deliverables
You’ll work closely with internal SMEs and Business Analysts to ensure requirements are clear, practical and commercially sensible.
You’ll know when detail matters, and when momentum matters more.
Manage Third-Party Technology Partners
A core part of the product is being delivered through external platforms and vendors.
You’ll need to manage relationships well, challenge where needed, and keep everyone honest on delivery dates, scope and outcomes.
Build Operational Readiness
Launching lending products is never just a system change.
You’ll also help coordinate:
- Internal process design
- Handovers to operations
- Training readiness
- Launch controls
- Customer / broker journeys
- Testing and UAT
