The EUC Architect is responsible for defining, designing, and governing the end-user computing architecture across enterprise environments. This role ensures a secure, scalable, and standardized digital workplace experience covering devices, operating systems, application delivery, endpoint management, and digital experience monitoring. The architect works closely with security, identity, network, service management, and business stakeholders to deliver modern workplace solutions aligned with organizational and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Strategy
- Define and own the EUC architecture roadmap covering Windows 10/11, macOS (if applicable), VDI, DaaS, and cloud PCs.
- Design modern workplace architectures using Intune, Autopilot, Entra ID, SCCM/MECM (co-management), and endpoint security baselines.
- Establish standards for device lifecycle management, OS build strategy, patching, and feature updates
Endpoint & Device Management
- Architect and govern endpoint management platforms (Intune, SCCM/MECM, MDM/MAM).
- Define policies for compliance, configuration profiles, conditional access, and device security.
- Support large-scale device migrations, refresh programs, and Windows 11 transformations.
Application & Image Management
- Define application packaging and deployment standards (MSI, MSIX, Intune Win32, App-V where applicable).
- Govern golden image strategy and application lifecycle, including evergreen applications and rationalization.
- Ensure compatibility testing and controlled releases across pilot and production phases.
Security & Compliance
- Align EUC architecture with enterprise security policies, Zero Trust principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with security teams on endpoint hardening, data protection, encryption, and compliance reporting.
- Ensure audit readiness and adherence to client and organizational standards.
Digital Experience & Monitoring
- Integrate and govern digital experience monitoring tools (e.g., Nexthink, HappySignals).
- Use analytics and telemetry to improve user experience, reduce incidents, and drive proactive remediation.
Governance & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the EUC design authority in transition, transformation, and steady-state programs.
- Support governance forums, architecture reviews, CAB discussions, and steering committees.
- Provide technical leadership, documentation, and guidance to delivery and operations teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in EUC / Digital Workplace / Endpoint Architecture roles.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, Autopilot, Entra ID, Windows OS.
- Hands-on experience with application packaging, image management, and DaaS/VDI solutions.
- Good understanding of security, identity, networking, and ITSM integration.
- Experience working in large enterprise or global transition programs.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to macOS, iOS, Android endpoint management.
- Experience with EUC transitions, carve-outs, and vendor management.
- Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
