In this role, you will contribute to an initiative designed to improve establishment processes for newly acquired properties, supporting the expansion of the protected area estate in line with the Protected Area Strategy.
You will play a key part in establishing assets within Departmental systems and assisting regions to develop projects that rationalise surplus infrastructure and guide operational and capital works programs.
Working within the Program Management Unit of Asset Services, you will help drive financial reporting, asset planning, procurement activities aligned with Queensland Government procurement policy, and the governance processes that underpin successful program delivery.
The role involves coordinating procurement documentation and evaluation processes, maintaining and administering program and project management systems such as AdaptiveWork, Loc8, SharePoint and associated financial reporting platforms to support accurate tracking and governance compliance.
You will also support the development of strategic asset planning documentation and apply risk-based prioritisation to infrastructure and capital works programs for new properties.
A key component of the position includes consolidating cross regional program reporting to inform governance forums and executive oversight, presenting program updates as required, and developing and maintaining asset data templates, registers and reporting frameworks that enhance transparency, consistency and governance across the program.
Through this work, you will contribute to the effective prioritisation, coordination and performance reporting of the broader asset establishment program across protected areas and state forests.
