AI-Curious Software Engineer

The Opportunity

As an AI-Curious Software Engineer, you will pioneer the integration of generative AI into the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), guiding customers from early experimentation to production-ready systems that deliver measurable value in their daily operations.

This is not about building demos, it's about creating clarity where there is chaos and building foundations where there is quicksand. You will lead architecture discussions, shape technical strategy, and help organizations reskill sustainably for an AI-powered future.

What You Will Do

• Design and build AI-powered solutions for SDLC from end to end: prototypes to production services around it.
• Work with modern GenAI techniques and tools (LLMs, RAG, agents, skills, tool-use, evaluation / guardrails) and integrate them into existing systems and workflows.
• Lead technical discovery and architecture discussions with customers, turning complex situations and into clear, actionable roadmaps.
• Own delivery: write clean, testable code, design scalable cloud architectures, and make sure what we build can be operated in the real world.
• Act as an AI advisor: run workshops, pair with customer teams, and help them reskill and adopt AI sustainably instead of just shipping PoCs.
• Contribute to our wider community: share learnings with colleagues, and when possible, speak, write or demo in public forums.
  
  

What we’re looking for

If you see yourself as a hands-on engineer who wants to help customers actually succeed with AI – not just talk about it – this might be the role for you.

Most importantly: We value the ability to learn and adapt rather than just a match with a skills checklist. We know this field evolves fast, so we are looking for someone who can evolve with it.

To succeed in this role, we believe you should have the following qualities:

• Strong software engineering or DevOps background, preferably as a full-stack engineer (e.g. TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, Java/C#, plus modern web frameworks).
• Experience building and integrating AI/ML or GenAI solutions (LLM APIs, vector stores, orchestration frameworks, etc.) into real products or services.
• Comfortable working with cloud platforms and modern DevOps practices (containers, CI/CD, infra-as-code, monitoring, observability).
• Ability to navigate ambiguity with customers: ask good questions, challenge assumptions, and propose pragmatic solutions that create value.
• Curiosity and learning mindset: you actively explore new AI tools and patterns, validate them in practice, and update your thinking as the field evolves.
• Craftsmanship attitude: you care about code quality, maintainability, tests, and long-term sustainability of what you build.
• Strong communication skills and a consultant’s mindset: you enjoy collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and explaining complex ideas in clear language.
  
  

Ways of working

We operate in a hybrid model with offices in Helsinki and Tampere so we expect you to be already located in Finland and have a valid working permit in the EU. We value occasional face-to-face collaboration with the flexibility of remote work. The role includes some travel for customer workshops / events.
