Senior Backend Developer (Golang)

We are a fast growing mobile game developer based in Istanbul.

FOMO stands for Fear Of Missing Out, which defines our product vision and culture. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Senior Backend Developer.

As a senior member, you will take ownership of architectural decisions, write highly efficient code in Go (Golang), and build robust RESTful APIs. A critical part of this role involves designing and implementing high-scale fraud detection systems to ensure the security and integrity of our platform. You will also manage our AWS cloud infrastructure and drive DevOps best practices.

What You'll Do:

• Architect, build, and maintain highly scalable and reliable RESTful APIs using Go,
• Design and implement real-time fraud detection and prevention mechanisms capable of handling high volumes of data and traffic,
• Lead backend architectural discussions,
• Take ownership of DevOps processes to deploy, monitor, and maintain our applications in AWS,
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scale, and security.

What We’re Looking For:

• Extensive Experience: Solid, hands-on experience in Go (Golang) backend development,
• High Scale & Production: A proven track record of working on live production systems, successfully scaling applications to handle high traffic,
• Fraud & Security: Experience in building or integrating high-scale fraud control systems, rate limiting, and anomaly detection,
• Cloud & DevOps: Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS) and practical experience with DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure management,
• API Design: Deep expertise in designing, building, and securely exposing REST APIs.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills and an ownership mindset.

Bonus Points (Nice to Haves):

• Python Knowledge: Experience with Python is a great plus, especially for scripting, data processing, or interacting with fraud detection models.
• Front-end Knowledge: Experience or familiarity with Front-end development (e.g., React, Vue, HTML/CSS/JS) is a huge advantage.
