Backend Developer

Do you want to build backend systems that power connectivity services used in homes across the Nordics? At GlobalConnect, you’ll work on B2C platforms that are continuously evolving, where your code directly impacts how services are delivered at scale.

To Succeed In This Role, You Likely Have

• Strong experience building microservices with Spring Boot
• Solid Java experience, preferably Java 21
• Hands-on experience designing and working with REST APIs
• Experience with system integrations and distributed systems
• Experience working in agile teams
  
  

About The Role And The Team

You will join a cross-functional team with a mix of seniority, working together to develop and evolve GlobalConnect’s B2C IT landscape. The team is distributed across Stockholm, Uppsala, and Fornebu, and collaborates closely in an agile setup.

This role combines new development, integrations, and continuous improvements in a high-impact environment. You will work closely with developers and product owners, taking ownership of both delivery and quality.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Developing and maintaining Spring Boot-based microservices
• Designing and implementing robust REST APIs
• Building and maintaining integrations with third-party systems and operator platforms
• Ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability across services
• Contributing to architectural discussions and continuous technical improvements
• Taking ownership of delivery and code quality within the team
  
  

Who We Are Looking For

You are comfortable taking ownership of what you build and care about long-term quality and maintainability. You work well in a collaborative team and contribute to shared outcomes.

You enjoy solving technical challenges, working with integrations, and improving systems over time. Experience from B2C platforms or telecom is a plus, but not required.
