Kairon Labs
Belgium · Full-time · Mid-Senior

Kairon Labs is a pioneering force in crypto-native algorithmic trading and liquidity provision. Trading technology across both centralized (CEX) and decentralized (DEX) exchanges, we deliver ethical, transparent, and world-class liquidity services, supporting global trading around the clock.

As part of our continued growth, we’re launching a new division: Blackbird — a greenfield project with tremendous potential and a proven record of profitability.

At Blackbird, speed, performance, and precision are everything. We move fast, innovate constantly, and never stop optimizing. To do that, we’re looking for exceptional talent ready to join a high-performance team and help take this venture to the next level.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to help design, build, and optimize our next-generation trading systems. You’ll work side by side with senior developers and traders to enhance exchange connectivity, monitor performance and refine our algorithms for speed, precision, and efficiency.

This is a unique chance to take early ownership in a fast-growing division — perfect for someone who’s proactive, eager to learn, and ready to grow into a high-impact technical role.

What You’ll Do

As part of our fast-scaling, high-impact team, you will:

  • Develop and maintain ultra-low-latency trading systems that operate at speeds beyond standard trading environments.
  • Optimize exchange connectivity and infrastructure to achieve maximum reliability and minimal latency.
  • Design and implement monitoring and analytics frameworks to track trading performance, system health, and uptime across global markets.
  • Continuously refine and improve systems to stay ahead of rapidly evolving market conditions.
  • Push the limits of performance, latency, and integration, helping us maintain a clear technological and executional edge.
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation and excellence, where precision, speed, and reliability define success.

Experience & Technical Background

  • Degree in a quantitative field (computer science, engineering, mathematics or similar)
  • Strong programming skills, knowledgeable about low-level programming concepts
  • Experience (professional or through personal projects) building or contributing to complex or high-performance systems in a language like C++, Rust, Java or similar
  • Python, SQL or Rust knowledge are a plus
  • Interest in financial markets and/or crypto is a plus

Mindset & Approach

  • You’re driven by performance and real tangible results
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about solving hard technical problems.
  • Adaptable and eager to learn — you thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • A team player who values collaboration and stability; working closely with others is key at BlackBird.
  • Ambitious and motivated to prove yourself, grow quickly, and be rewarded for your impact.
