Intern-Product Owner for EV Charge Points team

What's the role?

Team

HERE EV Charge Points is a product family used to deliver static and dynamic data on EV charging stations to our customers via APIs and customer-facing applications like HERE Navigation. Data quality is of the highest importance, so we are building processes and algorithms to ensure EV drivers only receive fresh and accurate EV charge point data. You will have the satisfaction of knowing you are positively impacting the driving experience for millions of EV drivers through your work and thereby supporting the transition to sustainable mobility. You will join a team composed of seasoned developers, test automation experts, DevOps, data engineers, and product experts. We are based in Tampere, Finland, and have a good mix of people who are eager to coach new joiners. The team’s working language is English. We collaborate with external partners and other teams within HERE across the globe to ensure that our customers always get the best of technology.

We are looking for an intern to join our EV Charge Points team for three months. This is a great opportunity to learn how digital products are built and developed in a real-world, agile environment.

In This Role, You Will

• Work closely with an experienced Product Owner, helping with day-to-day product tasks and gradually taking responsibility for small, well-defined projects.
• Learn how product management, engineering, and customers work together by supporting collaboration across teams.
• Support the Product Owner and Product Manager in shaping product features and communicating ideas to the development team.
• Help turn business and customer needs into simple backlog items, such as user stories, with guidance and support.
  
  

Who are you?

• You are currently studying Engineering, Business, or a related field (BSc or MSc level).
• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Basic understanding of technical systems and software, or a strong interest in learning more about how software products are built.
• You are comfortable working with different people and are open to frequent discussions and meetings to align work.
• You are curious, proactive, and not afraid to ask questions or share your ideas.
• You are motivated by seeing ideas turn into real product features together with experienced product leads.
• You are willing to take ownership of tasks, try new things, and learn from both successes and mistakes.
• Interest or basic knowledge in Maps and Location‑Based Services is considered a bonus.
• You don’t need previous Product Owner experience; we value curiosity, willingness to learn, and good communication skills.
