Your Role & Impact

As a Data Architect, you will own the data architecture within AI‑driven solutions for TCS European client proposals. You will define how data is collected, stored, processed, governed, and exposed to AI systems. Acting as a technical authority, you will work closely with customers, partners, and TCS Data practice to ensure TCS data offerings are positioned strategically.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Design and define data architectures that support analytics, AI, and Agentic AI use cases across structured and unstructured data
• Lead customer presentations and architecture discussions, clearly articulating data architecture choices, trade‑offs, and value.
• Position TCS Data offerings strategically in both proactive proposals and RFPs.
• Introduce and apply new data architecture paradigms to solve customer problems, including modern data platforms, real‑time data patterns, and AI‑ready data designs
• Co‑create and build data solutions with strategic partners, integrating platforms, tools, and services into cohesive data ecosystems
• Guide and mentor technical teams who build rapid demos and prototypes for customer presentations especially on Data for AI, ensuring data pipelines, models, and governance align with target AI architectures
• Ensure data architectures adhere to security, privacy, and Responsible AI (RAI) principles

What Makes You the Ideal Candidate

You combine broad solution‑level understanding with deep expertise in data architecture, and you understand how data quality, governance, and accessibility directly impact AI outcomes. You are comfortable acting as a data authority for both technical teams and customer stakeholders.

In addition, you bring:

• Strong experience in Data Architecture and Solution Architecture
• Broad understanding of the AI & Data domain, including how data enables AI systems
• Deep understanding of data management principles and paradigms e.g. Data Mesh, Data Products, Medallion Architectures etc.
• Deep expertise in Agentic AI data requirements, data platforms, data security, and Responsible AI (RAI)
• The ability to translate complex data landscapes into clear, scalable, and AI‑ready architectures
• Excellent communication skills, enabling you to engage confidently with customers and delivery teams
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to guide teams toward reliable, high‑quality data foundations

Experience in Technology Stack:

You do not need experience with all technologies listed below. These examples indicate typical platforms and tools used to build scalable, secure, and AI‑ready data architectures. It would be good to have a broad understanding of these platforms and deep expertise in few of these.

• Data Platforms: Cloud data warehouses, Lakehouse platforms, distributed data processing engines
• Knowledge Graphs
• Ingestion & Pipelines: Batch and streaming data ingestion tools, ETL/ELT frameworks, real‑time data platforms
• Data Modeling & Storage: Relational and NoSQL databases, object storage, graph and time‑series data stores
• Governance & Security: Data governance frameworks, metadata management, lineage, data access controls
• Data for AI Enablement: Feature engineering pipelines, data preparation for ML and Agentic AI workloads
• Analytics & BI: Reporting, visualization, and advanced analytics platforms
• Integration & Interoperability: APIs, data sharing mechanisms, cross‑platform data integration
• Data for AI: Concepts and methodologies that focuses on having Fit for Purpose data for deploying AI.
