Game Economy Designer Roblox

We are seeking a Game Economy Designer to join our studio.

In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize in-game economies aligned with Roblox gameplay standards. You will ensure our simulator and tycoon-style games are engaging, balanced, and built for long-term player retention and monetization.

You’ll work closely with designers and developers across the full production cycle, from pre-production to live operations, delivering high-quality economies at a fast release pace.

Key responsibilities

• Design & implement economies: build and balance core systems (resources, currencies, rewards, progression loops)

• Model & forecast: simulate player behavior to anticipate bottlenecks and create healthy sources/sinks

• Balance at scale: develop tools and systems for rapid iteration

• Quality assurance: test and validate features to ensure smooth and engaging gameplay

Preferred experience

• Experience as a Game Economy Designer (or similar), ideally on Roblox simulator/tycoon games

• Strong knowledge of free-to-play design and monetization systems

• Hands-on experience with balancing/implementation (Lua is a plus)

• Analytical mindset and ability to leverage player data

• Interest in competitor analysis and industry trends

• Fluent English (written & spoken)

• Passion for games, UGC platforms, and player-focused design
