Frontend Developer

My client is a scaling FinTech org delivering core digital services within the financial services space.

I'm tasked with looking for an experienced Front End Developer to join their high-performing engineering team where ownership, collaboration, and code quality are central to how they work.

This is a hands-on development role with real ownership: you'll be shaping the user experience of a business-critical platform, working closely with UX, backend, and product teams in a modern Agile environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Building and enhancing user-facing features within a complex, workflow-intensive SaaS application
• Developing Angular components, modules, and services in line with best practices
• Translating UX designs and prototypes into polished, performant interfaces
• Integrating frontend features with backend APIs and services
• Writing and maintaining unit and integration tests to uphold code quality
• Contributing to code reviews, CI/CD processes, and team knowledge sharing
• Identifying and implementing usability and performance improvements

Essential Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of hands-on experience building web applications using Angular, TypeScript, or JavaScript
• Solid grasp of responsive design, web standards, and UX principles
• Familiarity with other JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue
• Working knowledge of RxJS and state management solutions (NgRx or Redux)
• Experience with CSS pre-processors such as Sass or Less
• Experience with at least one testing framework — Playwright (preferred), Jest, Jasmine/Karma, Cypress, or equivalent
• Comfort working with REST APIs and integrating backend services
• Understanding of authentication and authorisation standards including OAuth2 and OpenID Connect

Advantageous

• Background in financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries
• Familiarity with micro-frontend architecture and web components
• Exposure to Azure or other cloud platforms
• Experience with component library tooling such as Storybook
• Experience building business-critical, workflow-intensive user interfaces
