Senior Project Manager - Fianancial Services
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager who comes from the Financial Services Sector to lead the delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives from discovery through to implementation and closure. The successful candidate will primarily work closely with our programme manager on an existing Broker and UW Application build, you’ll ensure our project team — internal and external—work seamlessly to deliver innovative application solutions for our brokers, customers, and underwriters. YOu will work heavily with an IT team who work in a Scrum environment, so if you have a strong Scrum Master or Agile background please highlight when sending your CV.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of projects across business, technology, and change teams
- Define project scope, objectives, and delivery plans aligned to business priorities
- Manage governance, reporting, and change control throughout the project lifecycle
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders and delivery teams
- Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies
- Own project budgets and ensure effective cost control
- Coordinate and manage third-party suppliers and delivery partners
- Provide clear, concise status updates to project teams and senior leadership
- Ensure project deliverables are reviewed, approved, and signed off
Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in IT delivery management, business transformation, or deployment-focused roles.
- Expertise in IT project deployment planning, go-live strategies, and post implementation support. • Proven ability to document and optimize processes using BPMN, UML, or similar frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Deep knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and JIRA for managing releases, user stories, and day-to-day tasks.
- Collaborative approach, comfortable working in parallel with the Programme Manager and across business and IT teams.
- Understanding of IT systems in insurance or financial services is an advantage.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Scrum and or Agile, CBAP, Project Management) preferred.
