Vulnerability Engineer | Windows/Linux, Rapid7 & Scripting | FinTech

Our client has been an established name within their niche sector in the Financial Exchange space for over 40 years. This company are building out a new technology hub in central Bucharest, they're moving to a lovely new office Q1 2025. You'll be joining an office with 22 employees, 6 are in the technology team which consists of infrastructure, security, support & Linux engineers. This is a new team - the patching & vulnerability team which you'll be joining, a really good opportunity to establish yourself in a newly created team!

With its head office in London, global offices, and circa 800 employees, it is a truly international and recognised brand. Excitingly they’re going through a huge programme of change and development and moving from a Finance to FinTech business and building out there Romanian technology hub.

They are seeking a vulnerability engineer to further grow the team.

Salary: competitive - depends on experience

Benefits: up to 10% bonus + other benefits

Location: Bucharest, Romania

Hybrid/Remote: 3 days from the office (can be lowered upon hard work)

Skills essential/required:

• Understand of vulnerability assessment methodologies & tools (e.g., Rapid7, Armis, Windows Defender)
• Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO 27001)
• Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python & PowerShell) are a plus

They love to automate, you'll get loads of exposure to writing scripts to automate absolutely everything they can both in the networking and infrastructure teams. Additionally you'll be learning off two senior members of the team who will mentor and upskill yourself in this role.
