Head of IT & Cybersecurity

Job Overview

We are looking for an Head of IT & Cybersecurity based in Milan, who will be the first fully dedicated internal IT role within RIMOND.

The position is responsible for centralizing and structuring the company’s IT landscape, reducing current fragmentation, and building a unified and scalable IT governance model.

The role combines operational ownership with coordination responsibilities and requires a strong hands-on mindset, as the IT function is still in the process of being built and developed.

Key ResponsibilitiesIT Strategy, Governance & Operations

• Define and implement the Group IT Strategy with a 3-year horizon
• Manage the relationship with external IT providers, overseeing SLAs, KPIs, service quality, and conducting periodic audits
• Introduce a formal IT budget with monthly tracking and reporting to the Executive Team
• Support the Group’s transformation into a joint-stock company (SpA) from an IT governance and audit-readiness perspective
• Centralize and govern IT infrastructure (systems, networks, cloud environments, end-user devices)
• Consolidate IT asset management (PCs, laptops, devices) currently distributed across HR and Office Management
• Centralize software licensing management (partially owned by the BIM function), ensuring cost efficiency and compliance
• Define and improve internal/external IT support model, including ticketing, user requests, and escalation processes
• Drive standardization of IT processes and improve overall digital efficiency across the organization
  
  
  

Cybersecurity & Risk Management

• Implement and maintain an Information Security Management System (ISMS) aligned with ISO/IEC 27001
• Conduct and oversee vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits
• Define, implement, and test Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans (BCP/DRP)
• Manage multi-jurisdictional compliance: GDPR (EU/UK), APPI (Japan), UAE PDPL, NIS2
• Establish a formal Incident Response and breach notification process
• Select and manage an MSSP for 24/7 security monitoring
  
  
  

Application & Digital Ecosystem Management

• Oversee the BIM/Autodesk ecosystem (Revit, BIM 360/ACC): licensing, updates, and engineering workflows
• Govern SAP HANA architecture in coordination with system integrators
• Rationalize overlap between Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 environments
• Supervise integration across enterprise systems (ERP ↔ BIM ↔ Finance ↔ Document Management)
• Support the evolution of core digital tools, including collaboration platforms and potential ERP systems
• Implement and maintain baseline IT security controls (MFA, access management, backups, account governance, security policies)
  
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT roles (IT Manager, Senior System Administrator, IT Coordinator or similar)
• Proven experience managing external IT vendors and service providers
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure (cloud, networks, endpoints, systems)
• Experience with Google Workspace environments
• Experience in IT asset and/or software license management
• Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles and identity & access management
• Ability to operate in non-structured environments and build processes from scratch
• Strong hands-on mindset, autonomy, and ability to engage non-technical stakeholders
• Availability for international travel ( UAE, Japan, UK, Norway)
